At the end of March we had a celebration for Multilingual Month, which is the celebration of all the cultures and religions that we live around us.
We did a lot of things to celebrate Multilingual Month, such as: serving different foods from different countries (pakoras, samosas, fruit, spring rolls etc).
We also rehearsed for our shows and performances. We did Ladders traditional greeting: saying hello in different languages. We used our performance skills to help us engage the audience with a call and response poem that originated from the Caribbean.
We also did spoken word performances to portray what London is made up of (a society that is multicultural) and how our differences unite us as we learn about all the different cultures that make Britain today.
Some of us also learnt a piece of music on the African drums; to share the quirky beat of Africa.
